kettlebellworkshop

From: the Forest Vance Training studio, Sacramento, CA –

If you’re:

  • Looking to learn the basics of safe and effective kettlebell training
  • Already training with KB’s, but having problems mastering good technique
  • Tired of your lower back/forearms/shoulders/etc. hurting after a KB training session
  • Simply love kettlebells, want to discover new training tips and workouts, and spend an awesome day around like-minded kettlebell enthusiasts

You’ll want to read this entire letter.

My name is Forest Vance. I’m a certified kettlebell instructor and personal training studio owner based out of Sacramento, CA. I have a master’s degree in Human Movement, multiple personal training certifications, and nearly a decade of experience in the fitness industry.

I’m writing this to you today because I want you to know that there is a simple solution for all your kettlebell training frustration, and there’s an easy way to use KB’s – along with a few other basic body weight exercises – to lose fat, gain lean muscle, to get into phenomenal physical condition!

But more on that later.

See, not too long ago, I was just like you. I thought I could just grab a kettlebell and start swinging it around after reading a few articles and watching a couple of YouTube videos. Boy, was I wrong.

Let’s face it, kettlebells are an awesome training tool, but if you don’t know what you’re doing, you at best won’t get the benefits from training with them that you should … and at worst, you’ll badly injure yourself.

I knew I needed some quality instruction to learn how to use kettlebells properly. I started with books and DVD’s from Pavel Tsatsouline (the man responsible for bringing the current kettlebell craze to America and the master of modern HardStyle kettlebell training). I spent thousands on personal training sessions from a local kettlebell instructor. I’ve even travelled across the country and paid thousands more (and untold blood, sweat, and tears) for what is now MULTIPLE RKC certifications.

I love kettlebells! And I want to help as many people as possible learn how to use them safely and correctly to reach their ultimate fitness goals.

Check out the kind of workouts you’ll be able to do after you attend this workshop:

Please keep these two things in mind – they are critically important:

1 – As a way to reward folks who act quickly and take action, the first eight people who reserve their spot at each of the workshops will get a small discount.

2 – I limit the size of these workshops to 15 folks to ensure maximum personal attention to form and safety – so once these spots are filled, that’s it. You’ll have to wait another 4-6 months for the next FVT kettlebell workshop.

Check out what some attendees had to say about our last kettlebell workshop:

[testimonial1 author=”Barbara, Petaluma, CA”]”Forest is knowledgeable, friendly, a great teacher and strong enough to help you through your rough spots.
I went to both the January 26th Kettlebell Basics workshop and the Kettlebell Next Level. I was extremely nervous. Forest and Gina made me feel welcome. I’ve never been athletic but am working on myself to stay strong enough for the second half of my life. I’ve been using kettlebells for a year or so but needed a refresher to get my motivation back. Forest explained everything in steps, demonstrated and corrected our forms. He challenged us to do our best and give it all. Forest encouraged me to push harder and do more than I ever thought I could do – including double kettlebells! His enthusiasm has inspired to swing on and work for results. Thank you Forest!!”[/testimonial1]

[testimonial1 author=”Denise, Roseville, CA”]”This workshop was fun and realistic. Even though many moves were more advanced, the progressions, teaching style, time allocated and tips were super helpful and fun. Because of the training today I was able to be not so afraid of snatches and windmills. I learned the benefits of kettlebell conditioning and why the key moves should be done the way they were taught.”[/testimonial1]

[testimonial1 author=”Vicki, Roseville, CA”]”I needed to break my form down to perfect my swing and snatch. I also needed to be able to tell clients what they are doing wrong when their back hurts or their knees. Because of the training I was able to perform a much better snatch.”[/testimonial1]

[testimonial1 author=”Adam, Northern California Bay Area”]”I loved this workshop because Logan and Forest make a great team. Logan’s enthusiasm for kettlebells is great and contagious. Because of the training I can go home with ammunition to take my kettlebell training to the next level while having confidence in my form for more advanced kettlebell moves like windmills and snatches.”[/testimonial1]

[testimonial1 author=”Susan, Sacramento, CA”]”It was unique and exciting to see the technique variations. I love kettlebells so this just adds fuel to the kettlebell fire so to speak. I can’t wait to try the juggling at home. Because of the training I was able to increase my endurance with a heavier bell doing snatches. Plus the many new techniques for snatches helps me as we increased the number and duration of snatches.”[/testimonial1]

[testimonial1 author=”Nick, Sacramento, CA”]”The trainers were very patient with a beginner and good at explaining technique. Because of the training today I was able to learn a few new ways to gain strength.”[/testimonial1]

[testimonial1 author=”Sarai, Elk Grove, CA”]”There was a lot of hands on time to practice. I learned a few new ways to snatch and understand better some of the other movement patterns I’ve seen done that I once thought were incorrect.”[/testimonial1]

[testimonial1 author=”Sara, Sacramento, CA”]”This workshop covered the basics and focused on good form and safety. I was able to improve my form and create an outline for a basic kettlebell workout.”[/testimonial1]

Here are a few answers to frequently asked questions about kettlebells in general, and more specifically past workshops we have held at the studio:

Q: I have a bad back/knee/shoulder/etc. – are kettlebells for me?

A: Kettlebell training done right is actually good for your back. But it’s even more important that you’re using perfect form if you have any kind of injury. That’s why getting proper instruction is so critical.

That being said, there are some physical limitations that would probably make kettlebell training a bad idea. If you have further questions specific to your situation, contact me via the link below.

Q: I’m out of shape. Is this workshop for me?

We will be working out on and off for about 2.5 hours at each workshop – so yes, you do need to have a base level of fitness established, but you don’t have to be in world class condition. Again, contact me for questions about specific situations.

Q: I don’t want to bulk up. Are kettlebells for me?

A: One of the best things about kettlebell training is it’s ability to build a lean and toned physique. So without a doubt, if you’re looking for fat loss and lean and toned muscle, kettlebell training is for you!!
