Mean Bean Challenge – Day 1 Update!

As I write this, it’s about 115pm … and we’re over 1/2 thru day 1 of the Mean Bean Challenge!

For the next 5 days, I am going to be eating nothing but oatmeal, beans and rice – to help fight poverty and end hunger. Details about the Challenge and support us here:

I am a little hungry. I am a little low energy b/c I am drinking ONLY water (no coffee, iced tea, alcohol, or any other type of beverage besides water is allowed).

But the truth is, what us “Mean Beaners” are experiencing this week is a TINY taste of what 795 MILLION people in the world experience every day. That’s right – 795 MILLION people in the world do not have enough food to have an active and healthy life.

It REALLY makes you think about just how blessed we are to have the availability and abundance of food that we do here in the US.

And that’s what this Challenge is all about. There are TWO ways you can show your support, and get involved:

1 – Come out to our upcoming Charity Boot Camp – 6pm, Weds, March 21st at our 1530 X Street location. Sign up using the link below to reserve your spot at the event and support the cause:

This is a great opportunity for you to try a boot camp if you’re new, OR to get an extra workout in if you’re currently training with us.

2 – If you can’t make it out, but still want to show your support, donate online at the link below:

Thank you! Wish us luck! ’till next time! 🙂
