Happy Thanksgiving!
This year, I am especially thankful for our growing community at FVT Warrior Wellness.
When we moved from the Sacramento, CA area in the summer of 2022, I honestly was not sure exactly where life would take me.
We sold our house, packed everything we owned into a shipping container, and made the cross-country drive with two cars, two kids, two cats, and a dog… and landed in Blue Springs with my in-laws. It was exciting, exhausting, and more than a little uncertain.
I ran my gym in Sacramento for about 18 months after the move before passing the torch to a great new owner. And once that chapter closed, I wasn’t really sure what I wanted my next chapter here in Lee’s Summit to be.
What I did know was:
— I love strength.
— I love helping people transform and become stronger versions of themselves.
— And for whatever reason… certain people (LOL) seem to like my coaching style.
So I started where I could. I trained a few clients out of Core Balance Yoga here in Lee’s Summit. Then I rented a small side room at what had been the Forge Strength Gym and coached out of there for a while. And about 18 months ago, we leaped into our current downtown space at 208 SE 2nd street.
If I’m being completely honest, I wasn’t sure I had it in me to rebuild everything again from scratch.
— Starting a small business…
— building a community…
— maintaining that community…
— growing it…
— building a small team…
It takes a lot of time, effort, energy—and heart.
When we first moved, I remember thinking, “I’m not even sure I want to go through all of that again.” But… here we are. We’re on the upswing. We’ve got Broghan, Dylan, and Kelli doing an incredible job with training and admin. We’re planted right here in downtown Lee’s Summit as the area continues to grow—new businesses popping up, a new farmer’s market coming in across the street, and more momentum building every month.
We’ve more than doubled our client base over the last year, and if the trend continues, I expect we’ll do it again going into 2026.
So this Thanksgiving, I’m grateful!
Thank you for being part of this story. We truly appreciate you.
Here’s to a great finish to 2025 and an even better 2026!

PS – We do have workouts tonight before the holiday, so if you want to sneak in a last-minute session, see us. We’ll be dark on Thanksgiving and Friday, then back to our regular schedule on Saturday.
If you’re looking for something active to do tomorrow morning, Core Balance Yoga is hosting a charity yoga class right down the street from us (less than a mile away) to support Harvester’s. Highly recommend it if you want to move a little and give back. Here’s the link -> https://app.arketa.co/corebalanceyogacenter/checkout/NJc434J2pN0E3ubEvG97
PPS – We’re running a 21-Day Holiday Jumpstart from Thanksgiving to Christmas, but you need to begin by the second week of December, and spots are limited. We won’t be opening additional slots until January.
