Knee push ups are a great exercise for beginners. They work most of the muscles in your upper body, your core, and more. And they require ZERO equipment to perform!

Sadly, 90% of people do them totally wrong. As a result, they are not getting the results they could be, while at the same time setting themselves up for injury.

What I’m going to show you today is a “different”, BETTER way (again, because most poeple do them totally wrong).

Here’s recap of what’s covered in the video:

– You get set up AS IF you are going to do a push up from the toes, but you just drop your knees to the floor and do your push ups from there
– Hands under the shoulders, approx shoulder-width apart
– Body is rigid and in a straight line
– Elbows and forarms should be past 90 degrees at the bottom
– Elbows come more towards the hips than the shoulders on the decent
– Finish the movement at full extension at the top

FVT Pocket / Greenhaven update – Soft Opening Sept 18th!

We have flooring being installed, mirrors going up, and equipment being delivered this week …

… and we plan on starting up regular workouts the week of September 18th at our new Pocket / Greenhaven location!

We are going to do a “soft opening” to make sure everything goes smoothly initially …

… and will announce an official Grand Opening event date by the end of the month.

The address of our 2nd location in the Pocket / Greenhaven area of Sacramento, CA will be 7465 Rush River Drive, Suite 705 – Sacramento, CA 95831.

Training times offered for group sessions to start (with additional availability for personal training), will be:

– 6am Mon – Weds – Fri

– 9am Tues – Thurs

– 6pm Mon-Tues-Weds-Thurs

– 8am Sat

We’ve already had several folks who live in the Pocket / Greenhaven area, heard news of our expansion, and have ALREADY taken ACTION, and started NOW with workouts and working towards their fitness goals (at our 1530 X Street location), until we get things up and running in Pocket / Greenhaven!

FVT Rapid Fat Loss Tip #4 – Follow the “1-2-3” Rule

Following the “1-2-3” rule is the EASIEST way to keep your macro balance in check.

The “1-2-3” rule simply is – for every 1 gram of fat you eat, balance it with 2 grams of protein, and 3 grams of carbs.

Of course, the total amount of calories you consume each day, and the TOTAL number of fat, protein, and carbohydrate grams each person eats will differ – depending on your weight, body comp, activity level, etc –

But you can use this formula to easily keep your meals balanced, from a macronutrient perspective.

EXAMPLE – me! (Forest)

  • Calorie goal = 2500 per day
  • Fat goal = 30% of total calories = 750 calories from fat per day, or 83.3 grams
  • Protein goal = 30% of total calories = 750 calories from protein per day, or 187.5 grams
  • Carbohydrate goal = 40% of total calories = 1000 calories from carbohydrate per day, or 250 grams

NOW … I break this down into 3 meals, and 2 snacks.

For my MEALS … I shoot for approx 20 F / 40 P / 60 C …

And for my SNACKS … I shoot for approx 10 F / 20 P / 30 C.

Easy, right?

Stick to those guidelines, and you’ll be WELL on your way to your fat loss goals.
