FVT / Alzheimer’s Association “Train-a-Trainer” Charity Boot Camp Saturday, June 23rd

We are hosting a FVT / Alzheimer’s Association “Train-a-Trainer” Charity Boot Camp Saturday, June 23rd @ 10am at our 1530 X Street location.

This is a full 45 minute FVT boot camp workout, specifically for:

– Current clients who want to come out, get great workout in, and support the cause
– Friends, family members, and co-workers of current clients who want to come out, get great workout in, and support the cause
– Past who want to come out, get great workout in, and support the cause
– Anyone who wants to support the Alzheimer’s Association and try a workout at FVT

PLUS, at the end of the boot camp, we’ll be bringing back the popular “Train-a-Trainer” event!

The first 15 people to register and donate any amount sponsors a “round” of exercises for the FVT team. (One round will be 45 seconds of work and 15 seconds of rest.)

You can have the FVT team do whatever exercise(s) you’d like. Burpees, bear crawls, wall sits – it’s all fair game 🙂

The event will last for a total of 17 minutes (three five minute “work” periods and two one minute breaks) – plenty of time to have your trainers do all of the exercises you hate the most.

If you would like to attend, you must reserve a spot ahead of time, using the form below. Do so by filling out the form with your name, email, and phone, and then following the link (you’ll get this after registering your spot) to the donation page to make your contribution.

Foundations Boot Camp – Last Chance

So we kicked off our new “Foundations” / Beginner Boot Camp last week! …

People are loving the workouts, and we are getting some amazing feedback after the first few sessions.

Instead of hopping into our full, high-intensity workouts on day 1, this gives you a chance to ease back into it, nurse that injury a bit, etc.

With the program, you get:

– 28 days of workouts
– our Rapid Results done-for-you meal plan
– before / after body comp

We are extending out the start date on this by another week. You will be able to start the week of May 21st, and still get in your full 28 days.

But after that, we are not 100% sure we are going to keep the program going, or what our full schedule will be.

So if you are interested, fill out the form below ASAP:

http://bit.ly/fvtfoundationsbootcamp

Either myself or someone from the FVT Team will reach out to you personally, we’ll figure out if the program is a good fit for you and what you are looking to accomplish with your fitness goals, and we’ll go from there.

Thanks for reading, look forward to connecting!

Foundations / Beginner Boot Camp – following up

We held our first “Foundations” / Beginner Boot Camp workout this morning at 6am at our Downtown / Land Park location.

It was a great success!

New clients appreciated the slightly slower pace, learning-focused environment, and emphasis on form.

Current clients also loved it too. They told me taking time to work on and improving the basics was really great.

If you are interested but haven’t gotten back to us yet, you still have time to join, but need to respond ASAP – submit your application now at the link below:

Maybe you like the idea of high – intensity training, but you haven’t worked out for a while, and you want to start slow.

Maybe you want some extra time to focus in and learn proper technique.

Maybe you are coming back from an injury, and you aren’t quite ready for our full-blown boot camp.

Maybe you just want to experience the benefits of a training program like ours, but you just would prefer a slightly “scaled-down” version.

If you are interested, fill out the form linked below, and we will get back to you ASAP:

1st Lift to Learn (video)

When people first sign up and get going at one of our personal training / boot camp studios, their goals are typically:

– lose fat
– gain muscle
– improve energy
– get consistent with their workouts
– improve their overall fitness level

And truly, a large majority of folks succeed in reaching these initial goals.

Which is amazing! Because it changes a person’s life in so many ways.

But a lot of times what happens THEN is, people get NEW goals.

They want to get stronger. More fit. Leaner.

So a natural progression is, in addition to continuing with our core kettlebell / bodyweight – based boot camp workout program, getting them into one of our advanced small groups, where we incorporate some of the basic barbell lifts into their programming, along with more advanced kettlebell and bodyweight exercises, and harder / more technical workouts overall.

And the first lift we typically teach to folks new to this stuff is the deadlift.

A deadlift is a strength-training exercise that hits almost every muscle group in your entire body. It will help you jump higher, run faster, and perform better. And is just feels GOOD to lift a heavy weight off the floor! 🙂

Now. The exercise might seem simple – you’re just picking a weight up off the ground, after all 🙂 – but it is actually quite technical. In today’s video, I break down five simple tips that will help you learn to do the movement safely and effectively:

If you are ready to take your workouts to the next level and learn some of the basic barbell lifts, the deadlift is a great place to start.

The tips in today’s video will go a long way in helping you do the exercise safely and effectively.

To your success! –
